VFX 'Avengers: Infinity War' villains will star in their own comic book series

The Black Order is getting their own limited comic series from Marvel

The children of Thanos, otherwise known as the Black Order, are getting their own limited comic series from Marvel. The Cull Obsidian, Ebony Maw, Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, and a new female alien named Supergiant with the ability to suck the knowledge out of others like a parasite returns in its own comic book series in this November. This five-issue Black Order series titled as The Warmasters of Thanos! The Black Order will be written by fantasy novelist Derek Landy and art by  (Uncanny X-Men). The story runs from the present Marvel comic book where the group is not connected with Thanos anymore as he is dead in the comic book mythology. Despite that, the cover of the first issue features the tagline, “The Warmasters of Thanos” to underscore the Avengers: Infinity War connection.

“Springboarding from their last appearance in Avengers: No Surrender, Black Order sets the flagitious five on a bloody, brutal, head-rolling take-no-prisoners tear that will pit them against the forces of an entire Galactic Empire—and where they’ll encounter some familiar Marvel faces as well as some bonkers new faces along the way!” teased SVP and executive editor Tom Brevoort in an official release.

The story of the books revolve around the Grandmaster sending out the Black Order to do some of his dirty works, but they may discover that there’s someone even bigger and badder standing in their way as per the initial synopsis released by Marvel.

The series is set to launch on 7 November.
