Jain Animation School (JAS) was recently launched at JGI Knowledge Campus in Bangalore with an enthusiastic and supportive crowd who cheered all along the event.
This occasion brought together dignitaries from various walks of life, Dr. R. Chenraj Jain, Chairman, Jain Group of Institutions; Anand Gurnani, CEO, Animation Xpress; Shreedhar Khakade, Animation Director and Entrepreneur; and Vasanth, South Film Actor. The event was also attended by Balakrishna, President, ABAI and many others from the animation fraternity.
Starting with the lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries, the programme kick started with a speech by the chief guest, Anand Gurnani. Anand’s speech inspired and enthralled the crowd and many budding animators present at the event. He spoke about the animation pipeline and its various uses not only in the studios but also for advertising, architectural animation, visual effects and various other areas. He emphasized on different career opportunities which were present for the students and the importance of hard work for a successful career. He gave an opportunity for the students to interact with him and answered their queries and doubts with regards to the animation industry. He concluded his talk with some motivational and positive thoughts for the students of Jain Animation School.
Vashanth, an actor from South Film Industry shared his views regarding conceptual film making and the animation film industry. He also emphasized on the usage of VFX in films and the career opportunity that it offers to the student. He showcased the trailer and the making of his yet to be released movie, Akhaada during the event.
Words were also expressed by Shreedhar Khakade who has been in the animation industry for over 22 years. He expressed his views on how the animation industry has grown over a period of time and gave some interesting insights into the industry.
The intro video and the first show reel of JAS were unveiled to the audience present.
The team at JAS thanked the parents, students and the industry members for their support and encouragement and for making the event a resounding success.
