PlayStation offers expansive Holiday Sale with up to 50 per cent off for some of the best games of 2020

The PlayStation Store is offering major discounts on several prominent 2020 video games as part of its official holiday sale including new titles such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, and Yakuza: Like A Dragon.

It’s a good time for sales like this; the Epic Games Store has been running its own holiday special for days now, and just today Steam launched its traditional Winter Sale, one of the biggest the website runs. There aren’t any discounts on the major PlayStation 5 launch titles (Spider-Man: Miles Morales or Demon’s Souls), but some PS5-only titles (Godfall, Observer: System Redux, and Overcooked: All You Can Eat) are on sale. Most games that were available in PlayStation’s Black Friday deals are on sale again, some at the same price (The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima) and others at slightly deeper discounts (FIFA 21 and Watch Dogs: Legion) than before.

The PlayStation Holiday Sale that offers up to 70 per cent off on titles will go on till 9 January, with the deals on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ending on 5 January, after which, new offers will be announced, Sony said in its blog post. There are plenty of other deals to enjoy on the PlayStation Store this holiday season. There have been a lot of high-quality games released during 2020, and the PlayStation Holiday Special gives fans a great chance to celebrate the year in gaming and give them something to do until they can finally get their hands on a PS5.
