Renowned Pune based studio, philm CGI expands its foothold by launching its studio in Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala. This 200 seater studio is located centrally in the city of Thrissur known for its art, culture and vibrant heritage.
Kerala has an immense base of talented artists who are not only creative but also tech savvy which is why the team decided on Thrissur as their first extension.
‘Kerala is known to have some of the best talents in the country be it creative, art or technical, which works best with our work ethics. When the team visited Thrissur we absolutely fell in love with the location and vibe of the city which solidified our decision to launch our first studio outside of Pune in Kerala” says, philm CG MD Anand Bhanushali.
philm CGI MD Arpan Gaglani says “Apart from having a great talent we also wanted to explore VFX and Animation in the established South Indian Film Industry. So when we got an opportunity to expand this made the perfect balance of both and hence we decided to go ahead with Thrissur. Also a lot of people wondered during Covid expansion, but we realized that it’s great as this way we get to work with great talent while they are close to home.”
