Epic Games’ Unreal Engine launches ‘The Women Creators Program’ to bring more women storytellers into the spotlight

Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, an advanced real-time 3D tool has announced, ‘The Women Creators Program’, which will select India’s talented women producers and VFX professionals to participate in a four weeks-long virtual training and mentoring program. The program, starting 19 April 2021, will select 15 women to be mentored by former Unreal fellowship graduates along with Unreal Engine evangelists. The program aims to inspire and train women creators and form a community of creators.

The applications are now open for Women Creators’ Program. Those interested can apply and the last date to apply is 10 April. The program was announced through a panel discussion with women creators in partnership with ASIFA India on Thursday, 25 March 2021. The discussion involved interesting conversations on filmmaking and the VFX industry in India.

 The trailblazing program will reputed evangelists and women mentors panel including- Dancing Atoms creative producer Saraswathi Vani Balgam, CDL founder and director Charuvi Agarwal; Marta Ampudia Dalmau; Epic Games Tech Evangelist Arvind Neelakantan; Epic Games technical account manager Dean Reinhard; Green Rain Studios founder and Unreal authorised instructor partner for Epic Games Karan Parikh.

The workshop training will cover the VFX industry’s relevant themes such as Animation and DCC workflows, world-building and terrain tools, lighting and post-processing, material editor, sequence, Livelink, and blueprints.
