We have an assertive plan for both expansion and device acquisition to make us competitively ahead of the game. We bring to the table our knowledge of optimal device listings and porting priorities across carriers that allow developers to maximize their footprint. The 1000th port is our first milestone in our quest for success.”

The lab offers solutions to port Mobile Games, Applications, Ringtones and Wallpapers developed on J2ME, BREW, Symbian and WinCE platforms within the same language or cross platform.

“We offer both manual porting services and automated porting services and is capable of porting to more than 650 devices. The Porting Lab is also a licensed service provider for the Tira Wireless Jump Suite – the industry’s only automated porting platform”

Sharing some technical information about porting, Bimbhat informed that A port is divided into Primary Secondary and tertiary categories. Primary refers to the first device that gets ported to in a family from the BRB i.e the base reference build. Similarly the secondary and the tertiary are the ‘other’ devices in the family, we port to after this. The Porting Lab uses both the manual and automated process to achieve this.
