A new ‘Total Dramarama’ special is coming to Cartoon Network US and Canada

Fresh TV, Cake, Cartoon Network Canada and Cartoon Network US have teamed up on a new Total Dramarama special, “A Very Special Special That’s Quite Special.” The 40 minute adventure premieres on Cartoon Network US on 15 April at 10 am ET/PT and on Cartoon Network and Teletoon+ in Canada on 22 April at 7 pm ET/PT.

The story follows our the troublesome toddlers on another hilarious and unpredictable escapade. After Duncan destroys their daycare using an unsafe driving app, Chef decides to spend the generous cash settlement on an all-singing, all-dancing cross-country adventure to the infamous Sir Splashalot’s waterpark, where an accidental mix up with a lunchbox, sees our pint-sized heroes chasing gangsters, tech barons and bickering aliens in an attempt to obtain a mysterious and powerful crystalline hashtag! 

Aimed at six to 11-year olds, Total Dramarama, the prequel to the multi-award-winning Total Drama franchise, first launched on Cartoon Network US and Teletoon (now Cartoon Network Canada) in 2018, rolling out on the channel in German-speaking territories, Benelux, Eastern Europe, APAC and Latin America. International broadcasters also include PopTV in the UK, Teletoon and Canal + in France, K2 and DeA Kids in Italy, Super3 in Spain, ABC in Australia and Noga in Israel. Following the series’ premiere around the world, two more seasons were produced, bringing the total number of episodes to 156.

Total Dramarama is created by Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch. It is produced by family entertainment company Fresh TV, in association with Corus Entertainment’s Cartoon Network Canada and Cartoon Network US. It is distributed internationally by kids’ entertainment company Cake.

CAKE seals new deals for Season Two and Three of ‘Total Dramarama’

If you have six to 11 year olds, we’ve got some news concerning their favourite animated comedy, Total Dramarama. Leading kids’ entertainment specialist CAKE has announced key sales on Fresh TV’s Total Dramarama, the prequel to the multi-award-winning franchise Total Drama. 

Total Dramarama ages down the original Total Drama’s teen characters into troublesome toddlers. The series first launched on Cartoon Network U.S. and TELETOON in 2018 and was an instant hit. It is created by Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch, produced by Fresh TV, and distributed internationally by CAKE. 

“We are excited with the reception Total Dramarama has received from the international market. The roll out in multiple regions and territories is testament to the ongoing successful performance of the franchise and we are looking forward to the latest instalment premiering later this year,’’ said CAKE head of Sales Bianca Rodriguez. 

Following season one’s strong debut, deals have been closed for season two and three with Warner Media for German-speaking territories like Benelux, Eastern Europe, APAC, and Latin America. The same has been done with PopTV in the UK, K2 and DeAkids in Italy, and Super 3 in Spain. Additionally, Canal+ France and ABC Australia have signed up for Season Two. 

The latest season introduces two more Total Drama characters, Sugar and Lightning who return as tiny versions of themselves to join Owen, Courtney, Duncan, Izzy, Beth, Leshawna and the rest of the gang. Watch them and become a part of their journey as they run riot under the slapdash supervision of Chef Hatchet! 

Season three is set to premiere on Cartoon Network U.S. and TELETOON in Canada mid-year 2021 and brings the total number of episodes up to 156. 

S2 of animated reality series ‘Total Drama Island’ to premier on CN and HBO Max

No parents. No phones. No mercy – the world’s most hilarious reality show is back and better than ever. CAKE in collaboration with Fresh TV as producer, announced that Total Drama Island is back with two seasons, and is all set to get premiered on HBO Max and Cartoon Network in the US. The two new seasons will consist of 26 half hour episodes of the hit animated reality show.

The long-awaited return revisits the original Total Drama Island format while introducing an updated cast of quirky, iconic teen contestants, as they face hard core competition, brutal eliminations and more drama than ever before! 

Returning as host, Chris McLean is accompanied by the camp’s favourite, Chef Hatchet, as they challenge contestants to embark on even more action-filled adventures. Taking place in the run-down Camp Wawanakwa, contestants must give it their all as they compete in extreme baking, TikToking, drag racing and “disaster and horror movie inspired challenges” for a chance to win the one million dollar prize.

Kids’ entertainment company, CAKE and award-winning Canadian producer Fresh TV have greenlit a third season of Total Dramarama, the prequel to the multi-award-winning franchise Total Drama.

The companies also announced that 52 new adventure episodes are in production currently and are set to premiere on Cartoon Network US and TELETOON in Canada mid-year 2021.

Cake and Fresh TV announce second season of ‘Total Dramarama’

Leading kids’ entertainment specialist CAKE along with award-winning Canadian producer, Fresh TV have announced a second season of Total Dramarama.

This announcement comes after the commitment from Cartoon Network US and TELETOON. 52 episodes of new adventures are already in production following the series’ premiere on both channels, last autumn.

Total Dramarama, a prequel to the original Total Drama series, re-introduces original Total Drama characters as toddlers and places them in a daycare centre. With their fully-formed teen personalities still intact, Owen, Courtney, Duncan, Izzy, Beth and Leshawna are wise beyond their years and are able to outsmart Chef at every turn in a hilarious series of unpredictable adventures!
