William ‘Captain Kirk’ Shatner will voice for the upcoming horror animated feature Malevolent. Known worldwide for his fabulous performance as Captain Kirk in Star Trek saga, Shatner will be seen as the ‘Overseer’ and will act as the film’s narrator. Moreover, Homeland star Morena Baccarin along with Ray Wise and Bill Moseley have joined the animated horror thriller.
A project by Coverage, Ink Films and directed by Jason Axinn, Malevolent follows the story of four siblings who are called upon when their evil, estranged father finds out that he is dying. He announces to his children that he plans to set out his will but what he really has in mind for them lies on a different tangent altogether. The 2D animated feature revolves around the young woman named Miriam as she strives to save herself and her siblings from the tentacles of her father.
And there is more twist to it as the father’s plans go for a toss when intergalactic gamblers take an interest in the situation and wage bets on the internal dispute of the family. So, the characters are amateur puppets at the hands of powerful masters.
Malevolent seems to be a ‘Fight till the last breath’ and with Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning screen legend William Shatner’s voice, there is definitely going to be a special twist.
