Set to be directed by Nia DaCosta, Captain Marvel sequel, titled The Marvels, has officially begun shooting. The movie features Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson who recently gave a sneak peak of it on their social media accounts.

Marvel hasn’t announced the release date of The Marvels yet but Samuel L. Jackson posted a picture of Nick Fury’s facial hair and himself wearing a t-shirt that features a Captain Marvel reference from Avengers: Endgame.

The caption read, “Guess what time it is! Back in the box, just in The Nick of time!” Since Marvel hasn’t officially announced that Jackson is returning to play Nick Fury in The Marvels, the actor could also be teasing that Secret Invasion has begun filming.

Larson (via ComicBook.com), confirmed that The Marvels has started filming. She said, “It’s a really unique experience. I’m a huge fan of Disneyland, so to me it feels like I get to go to my own private Disneyland every single day. Because they’re building all of these insane worlds that no one else knows about, no one else gets to see. You’ll see it when the movie comes out but for now it’s just mine. I’m in sets that are bigger than you can imagine right now. It’s really special.”

Besides Captain Marvel and Nick Fury, The Marvels will also feature Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau. Iman Vellani will play the characters of Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris will play Monica Rambeau.
