Superman and Aquaman will be seen in ‘Suicide Squad’?

Suicide Squad – the title itself attracts the attention of anyone who’s a DC Universe’s fan. It’s one of the most anticipated movies which are going to release only next year though. For those who don’t know about Suicide Squad, They are an anti hero strike team of incarcerated, death row super villains; acting as deniable, covert assets of the United States government, the team undertakes high-risk, black ops missions in exchange for commuted prison sentences. The team’s actions are highly classified and the government is able to deny any involvement by claiming that they are not responsible for the damages of a random supervillain attack.

Till now we know that in this super-villainous film we will get to see Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as the masked Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo and Jared Leto as the iconic Joker.

Batman is expected to cast a long shadow over the events of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad as well. Speculations are ripe that maybe Batman isn’t the only superhero who will be seen in the movie. Amanda Waller was heard speculating at the San Diego Comic Con footage reveal that Superman’s public debut acted as some kind of “beacon” for the superpowered and specially talented to emerge from the shadows. Although Superman won’t be seen in Suicide Squad, his presence will be felt was her ending words.

It’s highly possible that Superman might be seen in the Suicide Squad’s sequel. When asked by Metro.co.uk whether he would do a cameo in Suicide Squad, Henry Cavill replied with a firm ‘no’, however, his response to the question of him appearing in a sequel gave hopes for DC Comic fans. ‘I might be!’ Henry answered.

Superman might not be the only hero who is speculated to be seen in Suicide Squad. One of the founding members of the Justice League of America, Aquaman might be seen in the film as a prisoner of Amanda Waller. Amanda Waller played by Viola Davis is a staunch personality who is highly trained in military tactics, strategic management and espionage and is commanding the Suicide Squad from the Belle Reve prison.

For now, Superman played by Henry Cavill and Aquaman played by Jason Momoa will be seen in the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice which will be releasing in 2016. And in 2018, Aquaman will be seen in his first solo movie.

The director of the film David Ayer posted a tweet late last evening also declaring that the production of ‘Suicide Squad’ was completed.
