‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ leaked footage teases Tom Holland’s mysterious black costume

Next year, Marvel is set to rumble with as many as three movies, two of which are ready for launch. The third, Spider-Man: Far From Home, is currently on floors as Tom Holland is busy preparing for his fifth, mind you, fifth outing as the friendly neighborhood in barely three years. And a leaked footage from the set shows the 23-year old star in full swing.

Set just hours after the culminating events of Avengers 4, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming follows the web-slinger to the resplendent Italian city of Venice where the movie is currently being filmed. The most eye-catching feature about the clip surfaced online is the black costume that Holland’s tucked away in.

It begins with Spidey ducked to the ground as the surrounding’s set ablaze. He then gets on his legs, looks up in the sky, and briskly shoots two web blasts before a more concentrated shoot as if to pull or halt something in the air.

Now here, the stealth black costume has caught the fans on a hop. Reasons for Spider-Man switching over to the noir outfit is unknown, but various theories suggest that his original costume may have been damaged after the events of Avengers 4, and hence sporting something discreet until he resurrects it. Or, that’s his obscurantism in this situation so as to avoid being identified as the Spider-Man.

Being the social media buff that he is, Holland has revealed a few set photos ever since the movie production commenced, but not before accidentally flashing the title on an iPad. And with the filming expected to be wrapped up by the end of the year, we can expect more clips and photos to mull over.

Based on Marvel comics, Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theatres on 5 July 2019.
