In a groundbreaking move that further solidifies its commitment to India’s burgeoning gaming landscape, PlayStation has announced the debut cohort of the India Hero Project. This initiative, launched in May 2023, aims to discover and empower India’s most promising game development talents, showcasing their innovative visions to gamers worldwide.
The announcement was made at the Develop India conference which was held on 28 and 29 February in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone in the gaming industry’s evolution within the country.
Among the benefits offered by the India Hero Project are mentorship from industry experts at Sony Interactive Entertainment, access to the company’s internal resources, and recoupable development funding of at least $100,000 (roughly Rs 83 lakhs).

Meteora: The Race Against Space Time (Developer: Big Boot Games)– Shoot yourself into the nebula and join a race for survival.
