Omakase and Anime Expo offer Holiday Bundle

Omakase, the new subscription service that offers bi-monthly boxes of curated merchandise, ad-free anime streaming and original digital comics and music, and the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), announced today a special $40 coupon towards a four-day registration for Anime Expo, North America’s largest Japanese animation convention, in celebration of the convention’s 25th anniversary. The subscribers can receive the $40 coupon by visiting the official Anime Expo registration page.

Viewster, COO, Rob Pereyda said, “We are thrilled to be working with Anime Expo, which is not just at the epicenter but driving the narrative on anime, manga, j-games and Japanese culture. Like Anime Expo, Omakase is all about curation so it is great to be a part of this amazing community.”

The current theme for Omakase’s upcoming subscription merchandise box for January 2016 is Naruto Shippuden. The items include a Gold Naruto Mininja, a highly articulated figure of Sasuke and more action-packed surprises. Created by Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan in 1999 and quickly became that country’s most popular ninja manga properties. The series spawned multiple anime series, movies, novels, video games and more. The manga series (rated ‘T’ for Teens) and animated counterpart (Naruto and Naruto Shippuden rated ‘TV-14’) are both published by VIZ Media in North America.

Omakase, operated by Viewster, shipped its first merchandise box in November 2015 to universal acclaim with animated series Kill la Kill. Items included a gold foil hardcover manga, a Senketsu scarf, a Mako Mankanshoku towel, a Mittsu Hoshi wristband and a Guts button.
