Nick pulls off one episode of ‘Oggy and the Cockroaches’ from US channel

Parents in the US are making a ruckus on a 5 March episode of popular cartoon on Nickelodeon, Oggy and the Cockroaches. In one of the scenes, there is a caravan wall with a painting that bears the photo of a topless woman.

When parents started registering complaints after they or their kids spotted the goof up, Nickelodeon pulled off the episode from its website and has also taken it off from its US schedule. Oggy and the Cockroaches is a French animated slapstick comedy series produced by Xilam and Gaumont Film Company. In the US, Oggy airs on NickToons.

Whether the episode will be broadcast in other countries is yet unknown. The picture in question is that of a duck with big breasts and a bikini. In India, the show is broadcast by two networks, Viacom18 which airs it on Nick India (seasons 1-3) and Turner International India which shows the fourth season on Cartoon Network. If either of the network has this episode in its library, it would do them well to take it off before Indian parents start agitating!
