Mark Zuckerberg promises to get rid of the annoying Facebook Candy Crush Saga invitations

Good news for all those annoyed Facebook users who have been pulling their hair with the endless Candy Crush requests pending in their accounts and more coming in from their friends who want to continue to play the game without having to pause.

At a recent TownHall Q&A at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was asked the question how can one stop getting these annoying invitations on Candy Crush?

Grinning he said, “This is why such townhalls are useful. This was the top voted questions on our thread. I sent a message to the person who runs the team in charge of our developer platform, and I said that by the time I do this Townhall Q&A, it would be good if we had a solution to this problem.”

“There are some tools – that are kind of outdated – that allow people to send invitations to people who’ve never used a game, and don’t play games on Facebook. We hadn’t prioritized shutting that down, we just had other priorities. But if this is the top thing that people care about, we’ll prioritize that and do it,” he added.

He did not reveal more details as to when the request will stop and we will see an end to it. Candy Crush developer King is yet to comment on the issue and how will the change affects the game and the users.

During the Townhall Q&A Zuckerberg also spoke about the future of the Oculus Rift virtual reality system and his plans for Facebook’s “free mobile data” Internet.org scheme.
