Google Play Games adds recording feature on Android

Google in an aid to the new YouTube Gaming app has announced that it is adding video-uploading capabilities to its gaming app. Google’s Games app will add a feature which will allow players to record footage of to its Android games directly while playing the games.

This makes easy for the YouTubers to directly record their gameplay, voice and video commentary — and post it on YouTube.

To record one has to launch the Google Play Games app and then select a game to record. One has to the option to choose between 720p and 480p video, and capture one’s selves in phone or tablet’s front-facing camera. The streaming though is not live, but players can their game, and edit the part they want and upload it to YouTube.

Google is going all out in to promote the new video platform and compete against the existing platform and make it to the top among the live streaming for the gaming community.

It’ll be available first in the US and UK, with support for more countries will start rolling later. The feature currently on Android, Google is looking to bring the feature on iOS soon.
