As we fast approach the annual DC crossover of the Arrowverse on The CW, the production drops the first look of Batwoman, who’ll be making her first appearance on television. Officially titled Elseworlds, this crossover event would be a special one as the main cast members would be venturing to the dark streets of Gotham to meet not Batman, but instead his heiress.
And the first look at Ruby Rose’s portrayal of the character has dropped to unprecedented delirium. Draped in a sassy all-black bat costume, Rose sports a scarlet hair with similarly shaded bat emblem that looks very comic-accurate. It’s something that’s sure to raise expectations as Rose, by the first look, appears to be a perfect fit to essay the role.
Batwoman would be a part of the three-night event, so fans can look forward to watching her in a triumvirate of episodes. But the showrunners have hinted at a much bigger role as a solo series on the character is in the talks. Much of the advancement here would naturally depend on how well the fans receive her in this crossover event as Rose would continue to don the cap if things are kicked into gear.
