Guardians of Galaxy’s Drax gets his first solo series by CM Punk

The retired professional wrestler, CM Punk who has previously co-written Thor Annual #1 and the introduction  of Avengers vs. X-Men has one more comic in his bag and it is none other than Guardians of Galaxy’s Drax, The Destroyer’s solo series.

Drax who was earlier known as Arthur Douglas was a human whose family was attacked and killed by the supervillain Thanos. Needing a champion to combat Thanos, Arthur’s spirit was placed in a powerful new body, and Drax the Destroyer was born. Drax’s powers includes enhanced strength and resilience, flight, and the ability to project energy blasts from his hands.

In the upcoming Drax series, we will get to see what does Drax do when he isn’t hanging around with the Guardians. He lets his bloodthirsty quest for revenge take the driver’s seat and is determined to find and kill Thanos once and for all. He is all set to take on the universe and nothing is going to stop him!

This action packed Marvel comic has been written by Phillip Brooks aka CM Punk along with fan-favorite co-writer Cullen Bunn and artist Scott Hepburn. The debut comic DRAX #1 is going to hit the shelves on 4 November.
