DreamWorks has pre-emptively purchased an original ghost-story pitch from Carter Blanchard, the scribe who most recently did a rewrite on Independence Day 2 as reported by Deadline.
The pitch that has been made is a full-on ghost story rooted in classic Amblin storytelling style. Blanchard had previously sold his time-travel story Glimmer to the studio.
Madhouse Entertainment’s Adam Kolbrenner will produce alongside Robyn Meisinger and Madhouse’s Ryan Cunningham will be executive producer. Blanchard is also separately adapting the Mark Millar comic book Kindergarten Heroes for Fox.
