Voodoo has announced its new fall competition, open to all studios worldwide. Supporting studios in creating and launching their next hyper-casual hit, the new competition kicks off on 10October, giving participants the opportunity to push their ideas and prototypes into the mobile app charts quicker than ever before.
Voodoo will give participants access to support from its publishing and product teams throughout the duration of the competition, alongside marketing insights and livestreams to help them build and develop their prototypes.
There is no limit on the total value of prizes given, meaning that participants can enter several prototypes to win multiple prizes. The prizes on offer include:
First prize – $1million, minimum guarantee – For all games that exceed 5M downloads on iOS US in the first four months following the full launch
Second prize – $200,000, minimum guarantee – for any launched and confirmed game during or as a result of the competition
Third prize – $100,000 – For all games hitting a $0.20 CPI and 30 per cent D1 retention on Android, or $0.30 CPI and 30per cent D1 on iOS
Referral prize – $100,000 – For referring a studio with a confirmed hit game during or after the competition
Voodoo will host a kick-off webinar for all participants at 3pm CET on Thursday 7October, before the competition period opens from 10October to 10December, marking the longest competition window in Voodoo’s history.
Those wanting to take part in the competition can register online and submit their games until 10December midnight CET.
