Fun Element Studio Working on Gaming Apps ‘Traffic Blast’ and ‘The Guardian of Mystery Grail’

Creating Innovative, engaging and addictive games is the formula with which Mumbai based Fun Element Studio is now working on two new single player games titled ‘Traffic Blast, a racing game and The Guardian of Mystery Grail, which is an adventure game.

Started in 2010, this studio till date has developed games using Flash and Unity platform for Web, TV Channels, FMCG, and Banks. The studio operations are looked after by Saagar Dhoke, who is the Producer and Game designer, along with Joseph who contributes as Art Lead and handles the design and art front for the games, Vivek and Robert Solero lead the technology teams for Flash and Unity respectively and Amrita is looking after the quality of the games. In the recent past, Fun Element has brought out games titled Urban Assassin, the Great American Zero, The Tae Kwon Donuts along with delivering a series of apps for FaceBook.

Revealing the game play of Traffic Blast, Saagar Dhoke, Producer and Game Designer at Fun Element shares with AnimationXpress.com’s Zeenia Boatwala by saying, “This action game includes armored vehicles, tanks, choppers and even submarines! The idea came up in one of the weirdest places- Traffic Jam. We were stuck in the ever congested Mumbai roads and thought of blowing up the cars in front and just zip our way home.”

This racing game that gives out third person cam view, circles around 50 levels and is targeted to the auds between 9 -25 . As this game progresses, The player has to fight his/ her way through opponents from all over the globe where traffic is the main nuisance and the player will experience locations like Mumbai, NY, Brussels, Milan , Antwerp and more to be added in the game play.

Coming to the ‘The Guardian of Mystery Grail’, it is a period based game targeted at auds between aged between 22-45 years and is inspired from medieval ages. The game play shows the growth of an imaginary dynasty ruling the globe and the other worlds. Adds more, “The game unfolds the story of mankind from the 5th to the 15th century.”

It has taken the team around 3 months for researching and finalizing on the pre-production of these games which was composed with freezing upon the environment, music, characters, vehicles all had to be foresighted and decided upon.

Highlights, more, “We went through lot of iterations before we set the final look and feel.”

For creating the game play of ‘Traffic Blast’, the team is doing extensive research on the most traffic congested cities and illustrating future weapons. “  Informs more, “Not only this, but we are also bringing out new vehicle designs as they should look and putting in our best to make it look unique and believable.

And, for the ‘The Guardian of Mystery Grail’, the team is researching on the medieval age period and people’s behavior, skills, martial arts, weapons as well as civilizations that existed during that time.

Fun element is yet to finalize the release dates, but have shared that the games would be ported on iOS and Android Platforms and will be available as a free and paid app. On the technology front, the studio is using 3DS Max and Unity3D for the animation and development of these games.

“For both the games we want the players to be on the edge of their seats, blasting vehicles and mesmerized watching history unraveling in front of them on their phones and tabs.” , Concludes, Saagar.
