Currently in its pre-production stages, the series on Lord Krishna of Guruvayoor unfolds 13 new stories about Krishna and Binu Sasidharan, the Director of this series, reveals more on this to AnimationXpress.com’s Zeenia Boatwala by saying, “In all the 13 episodes, little Krishna appears before kids as a friend, as a shepherd and in many other roles who saves his friends from the hands of villains and monsters.”

Produced by Wireframe Animations and VIP International, this series is targeted to kid auds and Binu feels that the series would be a hit because Krishna has a timeless appeal and tops the favorite list of kids as well as adult auds.

The team at WireFrame has adopted strong research and almost taken about 1.5 years to create the base story for this series with putting in dedicated 4 years for power packed research on Lord Krishna.

To make the story structure more interesting, the team is discussing this series with Chief Priests of Temples at Guruvayoor to understand more about the life style, choices of Krishna. Informs more, “We don’t want our story to have any resemblance with the past Krishna superhero images and hence for to make this possible we are undertaking this critical research to instill uniqueness in our creation.”

Hardcore 3D Animation is being used to create the entire series and Binu feels that the 3D characters and animation quality of this series will match global standards of animation. On the technical front, WireFrame is using Gimp to create the base Character model, along with using Blender as the main animation software, whereas all the mockup is done using Daz3d and iClone and video editing is done using FCP.

The studio is currently in talks with popular celebrities for lending voice overs to the characters and this series will be available in English and Malayalam languages.

“By having Lord Krishna as the main character, we don’t need to introduce a newly created super hero before the audience.  In Kerala, from our childhood days, we used to hear lot of stories about the miracles of lord guruvayoorappan (Krishna of Guruvayoor) which we thought to bring on to the screen by giving a new touch to it.” concludes, Binu.
