Recently FAU-G studio Ncore Games co-founder and chairman Vishal Gondal was slammed with multiple defamation notices owing to the comments made about the growing influence of gambling on the video games industry.

Gondal posted on the microblogging site that he had received six legal notices from people based in six different cities in India, threatening him with criminal and civil action for his tweets. Gondal rubbished these legal notices calling them “frivolous and baseless” and that he has “full faith” in India’s courts.

He also asked the gaming community to “raise the issue of getting gambling under all surrogate forms under strict government regulation and oversight”. Moreover, he also asked gamers to “come together to make Indian esports the best” and make India “the global leader in esports.

We will keep you posted on further developments.
