AMD Ryzen Skyesports Championship 3.0 peaks at over two lakhs viewers

The AMD Ryzen Skyesports Championship 3.0 BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI) featured 18 of  teams competing for a share of the prize pool and the title of champions. Because of which, a lot of viewers tuned in to the livestream to watch their favorite players compete for glory. As per data from Esports Charts, the AMD Ryzen Skyesports Championship 3.0 BGMI amassed a peak viewership of 221,089 viewers. The average number of viewers across the seven-day competition was 75,515. 

The peak viewership came during Match 32 of the championship when the teams were locked in intense fighting during the final few safe zones. Revenant Esports got the chicken dinner in this match. 

With 42 matches and six days, the livestream ran for over 65 hours in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Punjabi. While Hindi and English were broadcasted on the Skyesports YouTube channel, the regional languages were supported by Facebook Gaming. 

The grand finals for BGMI clocked in 4,939,916 hours of watching, according to Esports Charts. This makes it the most-watched tournament (according to hours watched) for BGMI in the country yet. 

“The AMD Ryzen Skyesports Championship 3.0 is breaking all records and setting a benchmark for many more esports IPs to come in the future.A big thank you to all the fans and supporters from the gaming ecosystem in South Asia,” said Skyesports CEO Shiva Nandy. 

GodLike Esports won the championship for BGMI and will pocket Rs. 12,00,000 of the Rs. 25,50,000 prize pool. The team’s Jonathan was adjourned as the MVP. While the initial prize pool was Rs. 25,00,000, an emerging player award worth Rs. 50,000 was later added to recognise 8Bit Akshat’s performance in the championship. He got 75 kills, just two behind the MVP Jonathan. 

The teams and players will be facilitated during an offline event in Mumbai in late October. 

The action has not ended yet as the Skyesports Championship 3.0 will now shift to Valorant. The qualifiers are currently ongoing. Teams from across South Asia are competing for spots in the playoffs, which will happen from 8 October  to 23 October. 

The Skyesports Championship 3.0 is presented by AMD Ryzen. Logitech G is the gaming partner while WD Black is the storage partner. Croma is the gaming retail partner and the regional streams are exclusively supported by Facebook.
