Trivandrum based Toonz Animation is on its toes this season with its animation workshop titled ‘Day@Toonz’ that is introduced with the objective of giving people a first-hand experience of how an animation film is made and would spread out exquisite awareness about animation as an art, as a career choice and as a booming industry in India.
This 3 hour workshop lineup has a lot to offer! and would jumpstart with an interactive session with animation experts targeted at both aspiring students and the general public, aiming to create awareness on the various stages and techniques of animation production, explore the stages in animation film making process, express their thoughts on the animation film making, to meet artists and will be followed by a case study and a studio tour study based on Toonz’ own production ‘Jil Jil Genie’ – an animated TV series that runs on Cartoon Network.
The case study of ‘Jil Jil Genie’ will spotlight the attendees through every animation movie making step starting from movie scripting till the final production.
Speaking to Animationxpress.com’s Zeenia Boatwala about the idea behind this workshop, P Jayakumar, CEO, Toonz Animation, says, “We wanted to take animation to the masses to make them aware of the effort and intricate steps that goes into producing the wonderful cartoons that they see on their televisions. A lot of planning, years of toil and creative team work culminates into a TV series or movie and every cartoon has an interesting back-story to tell.”
A much appreciated fact of this workshop is that it can be attended by people of all age groups. Slated to be held tomorrow, , the workshop will be conducted at Toonz Animation Studio between 9 am and would continue till 5 in the evening and also there isn’t any entry fee to be paid!
Experts from Toonz will also deeply emphasize on every technical and non-technical aspects of animation production. Not only this, but the attendees will also get to understand the various possibilities and opportunities that animation as a career or field of study has to offer.
