Frame-o- Animation studio and also an animation institute, based in Nagpur, is proudly organizing its 4th Animation Summer Camp this April. This one month summer camp has started and will continue till the 15th of May.
With delivering services composed with 2D Animation, AD Films, E-Learning, 3D Walkthroughs/Ads and VFX, the animation institute also delivers an animation diploma in 2D and 3D Animation.
Initiated in 2010 by Suraj Chaudhri and Anand Singh, the founders of Frame- o- Animation Studio, the summer camp will emphasize and promise vast knowledge of interesting subjects including History of Animation covering India and International Countries, Information about famous animation personalities, Graphic Designing, Digital Graphics, 2D Animation, Digital Film Making, which includes Film Editing and Adobe Premiere and Vegas and Drawing and Craft and also will bring forward knowledge about the current animation news and current animation trends in India.
In 2D Animation, the team would focus on prime areas of creating animation including Pose to Pose Drawing along with detailed knowledge of Animation Principles and also be taught to work on Adobe Flash with practical animation assignments.
If you want to hear about the count of attendees that this animation summer camp has been able to capture in the past years, the number starts from 75 students attending the camp in the camp establishing year 2010 with 55 attendees in 2011 and 65 attendees in the last year.
With this animation summer camp, Suraj visions to create awareness about animation in Nagpur and build a Nagpur Animation Community to brighten and contribute to the development of Indian Animation and also cater to creative advancements for the Indian Gaming Fraternity.
The camp would be conducted by Suraj Chaudhri along with Anand Singh, Nitin Palaskar and Poonam Nagpure. Also, present will be guest speaker Rajesh Indulkar, who is the Dean of MCA College, Nagpur would be delivering creative animation sessions.
Sharing thoughts about the idea behind creating this animation summer camp, Suraj Choudhari, Founder of Frame-o-Animation, shares,
“Indian Animation Market needs great growth and there is very limited awareness of animation in Nagpur.
With this summer camp, I want the attendees to understand the basic philosophy of Animation and create their own imaginative concepts and I vision the next generation to carry out fantastic animation stuff”
To give this animation workshop a new layer of creative understanding, varied animation movies of Disney, Pixar and Warner Brothers would be showcased and the attendees would be given a deeper insight of how these movies were made along with showcasing the making of some animation movies. The making of Avatar was displayed in the last year animation summer camp.
Suraj shares more, “By showcasing international movies, we bring forward detailed knowledge of the various technologies used in the international animation film making market and we believe this would help them to make way for their original concepts and get an understanding of how to create it.”
For fetching entries for this animation summer camp, Frame-o- animation team paid visit to maximum schools at Nagpur and shared a preview of the kind of animation line up that will take place at the summer camp.
Suraj adds further, “To build interest in the minds of students, we shared the history of Tom and Jerry with them and also made them understand that Drawing as a creative medium plays a major role in the creation of any animation.”
Also, Suraj is inviting various animation studios, academies and artists to send in their animation work so that it can be featured as an exclusive part in the summer camp program line up.
To reap creative fruits from this animation summer camp, one has to pay a nominal fee of INR 1500. Post- completion of this camp, the attendees will receive a Certificate of Participation and be well versed to understand and decide whether they would like to take us animation as a career in near future.
Towards the end of this camp, students will be given a test in which they would have to make an animation clip within 6 hours time.
