Thunderbird Entertainment revealed production slate for 2021-22

Thunderbird Entertainment Group is thrilled to showcase new shows on its production slate. The update includes titles for 18 new and returning series across its factual and kids and family divisions, which will launch in partnership with world-leading broadcast and streaming companies like Disney+, Netflix, CBC, Discovery Canada and SyFy. The Company is currently working on nine additional shows, either previously announced or remaining confidential, for a total of 27 programs in production as of today’s date.

Gut Job

 This new show will see the return of fan-favourite Canadian contractor Sebastian Clovis from the popular lifestyle series $ave My Reno. In the new series, Clovis will guide property owners through the biggest home renovations of their lives.

Styled (working title)

Synopsis: Join the staging and renovation adventures of design super-duo and BFF’s Nicole Babb and Caffery Van Horne as they help residents upgrade their spaces from dull and dated to stunning and Styled!

Deadman’s Curse (working title)

Former MMA fighter Kru Pitt and young Indigenous explorer Taylor Starr seek out the help of seasoned treasure hunter and mountaineer Adam Palmer to finally solve the mystery of Slumach’s lost gold mine. The treasure-hunting threesome may have ancestral connections to the legend and the gold, but extreme weather, unforgiving terrain and a curse all stand in their way.

Dr. Savannah: Wild Rose Vet

Format: Nine x 30’, APTN & Cottage Life

Wapanatahk Media’s first factual series follows veterinarian Dr. Savannah Howse-Smith as she treats animals in rural Alberta and learns more about her recently confirmed Métis heritage.

This CBC comedy follows Shannon Ross (Nicole Power) from Kim’s Convenience as the new executive director of the Hamilton East Animal Shelter, where she is boss to an eclectic staff. Shannon’s trademark positivity is put to the test as she puts Toronto in the rear-view to focus on her new job, new relationships, reuniting with family and learning more about herself.

Reginald the Vampire

Imagine a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires. Highway Thru Hell

Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends

Marvel’s first full-length series for preschoolers spins adventurous tales about pint-size versions of three Spider-verse icons: Peter Parker (voiced by Benjamin Valic), Gwen Stacy (Lily Sanfelippo) and Miles Morales (Jakari Fraser).

Dogs in Space

In the not-so-distant future, genetically enhanced dogs are sent across the universe in search of a new home for the human race. It’s a giant cosmic game of fetch, as the canines seek a planet that will save humanity and — more importantly — let them return to their beloved owners. Molly of Denali
