RE:Anime Films releases the fifth episode of its live-action ‘Naruto’ web-series

RE:Anime premiered its live action Naruto: Shikamaru’s Revenge. The episode reveals the live-action adaptation of one of the international series’ most intense and emotional battles. Made through a successful crowdfunding campaign in the anime community, Naruto: Shikamaru’s Revenge is the production’s continuation of its first live-action web-series that has gathered millions of views and positive reviews from fans worldwide.

The newly released episode brings to life Team Shikamaru and Kakashi’s epic battle against Hidan and Kakuzu. In addition to the show’s previous cast, viewers can see Yoshi Sudarso’s portrayal of the fan-favorite Kakashi and his “Raikiri”. The series adapts both the emotions and jaw-dropping fight sequences of this fan-favorite battle. In addition to fan-favorite characters, viewers can also expect to see amazing moves such as the Expansion Jutsu, Raikiri (Lightning Blade) and more come to life.

The series will be the second part of RE:Anime’s first live-action series, setting a new milestone for the production company that aims to create positive change in Hollywood’s live-action anime adaptations.

“I am excited because I have been waiting to go out and share this with Hollywood executives. I want to show them and say ‘watch this, look me in the eye and tell me we are not the right team.’ This is the culmination of the three years of RE:Anime, and I think we did a really good TV pilot,” says RE:Anime founder Nik Shaw.

Back in May 2021, RE:Anime Films hosted a crowdfunding campaign to help fund the production of this series. With the support of fans worldwide, the campaign raised over $15,000 to bring this series to life, proving the production’s recognition with the anime community.

RE:Anime’s previous Naruto live-action film Kakashi vs. Obito, released in 2019, captured over 19 million views, part of the production’s impressive 50 million total views.
