Leading Mobile content company Nazara.com has recently joined hands with Exit Games, a Europe based software provider for mobile entertainment platforms to launch multiplayer games on mobile on both J2ME and BREW platforms.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com,Nazara.com CEO Nitish Mittersain shared, “We are a mobile content provider and we have tied up with Exit games because Exit games was most suitable for us in terms of its features and it has already been involved with creating multiplayer game solutions for carriers for quite a long time. Also, this collaboration will help in terms of the technical finesse of the product as well as in its distribution”
Nazara which has a production team of over 60 artists and programmers got into the tie up with Exit a few months ago and they plan to launch the games from March onwards. The portfolio of multiplayer games includes action, puzzle, arcade and racing etc.
Commenting on the marketing strategy, Mittersain shared, “We are adopting a dual approach to reach consumers. One is through the various operators and the second one involves reaching direct to consumers for which we will be doing a massive marketing blitz”
Close to ten games will be launched in March and this will be followed by the release of 2-3 games every month.
Mittersain concluded by saying, “Multiplayer is the next frontier for mobile gaming in India and as mobile data transfer speeds become faster, we expect to see an increase in demand from consumers in terms of more complex and rich applications including Multiplayer Gaming”
