DC’s ‘Injustice’ animated movie gets release date and debuts box art

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced the release date of the Injustice, an animated feature adapted from the most popular video game and comic Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Injustice is all set to release on 19 October in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and in digital formats.

DC also released a box art featuring Superman preparing to fire his heat-ray vision at Batman, while Wonder Woman attempts to subdue the Man of Steel with her Lasso of Truth.

The Injustice animated movie follows story of a Superman who was tricked by the Joker into killing his pregnant wife Lois Lane. Five years later, a deranged Superman now rules the entire world. The Justice League crosses dimensions to take down this insane version of the Man of Steel.

Injustice saga has had various sequels and spin offs; it evolved from comics to video games, and now finally after five years, we will get to witness it in an animated movie form. The Injustice: Gods Among Us could be an adaptation of the comics rather than the games, or even an entirely new story set within this DC Universe.

The voice cast includes Justin Hartley (This Is Us, Smallville) as Superman and Anson Mount (Star Trek: Discovery, Hell on Wheels) as Batman, Injustice goes on sale 19 October.
