Cartoon Network is all set to take you on a roller-coaster of comedy, camaraderie and action throughout August. Get ready to be at the edge of your seat, rolling on the floor laughing and be entertained for hours; so, don’t forget your popcorn.
The fun starts from the first day of the month- 1 August, from 10:30 am onwards, as they celebrate International Friendship Day with back-to-back episodes of Ekans – Ek Se Badhkar Snake, Cartoon Network’s first ever homegrown superhero CGI series. Join Ekans, the 13-year-old street-smart wunderkind, who possesses superpowers of ‘naagmani’, gifted to him by the world’s most powerful snakes to keep humanity safe. Gear up to laugh as his goofy friend Chiku pranks get him into trouble and Ekans saves him, while also saving the world. The fun will continue with the second season of the show, airing daily from 2 August, at 11:30 am and 7:30 pm.
On International Cat Day, 8 August, Cartoon Network transforms into Cat-Toon Network with back-to-back and all-new episodes of The Tom and Jerry Show from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Filled with laugh out loud comedy and wacky adventures, binge-watch Tom and Jerry as they try to outplay each other. Get ready for a purrfectly paw-some time, as Cartoon Network will celebrate all feline friends, in collaboration with various brand partners through a slew of complementary online activities.
To commemorate Independence Day on 15 August, Cartoon Network will air Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale at 1:30 pm. This special takes Jerry to the magical kingdom where toys come alive. But his pleasure is short-lived as his best frenemy Tom arrives with his troublesome friends and wreaks havoc on his life.
Ben and Gwen will join this month’s programming roster, with a Ben 10 special, Ben 10,010, set to air on 22 August at 10:45 am. Pushing the comic envelope further, Cartoon Network’s Emmy award-nominated born-in-India show, Lamput will tickle your funny bone, in three seven-minute specials on 14 August at 10:30 AM. The all-new season of Grizzy and The Lemmings starting on 9 August, Monday to Friday, at 10:30 AM, is all ready to bring in a fresh slew of madness.
