Delhi CG Animation Awards is rolling in, new categories, more prizes and a call for budding film-makers is right here. AnimationXpress.com had a conversation with Mayank Choudhary, Co-Founder of DCGAA and he disclosed some really interesting stuff awaiting to happen atDCGAA’2014.
The 2012-2013 editions saw an unprecedented participation with participants winning great prizes sponsored by MAAC, Canon, Autodesk, Wacom. Last years theme was ‘Comics”, this year the team has now called for “Sketch to Screen; Idea to paper to camera to computer to reel”. Mayank says, “Like last years edition Indian animation talent will hold up to high expectations of our Jury this time too.”
Participants across the globe are entitled to participate. Shedding some light on categories, new categories have been added to the list – Best Design – Architectural Still and Best Design – Architectural Walkthrough. Team participation is being encouraged (except photography) and participants have liberty to try their hands out on more than one category. Apart from the trophy, winners of each category would be rewarded with cash prizes and goodies from their partners. Calling for all animation nerds, go, grab this awesome opportunity. Adding to it 10 new Industry recognition Awards are being introduced for special work done by broadcast channels and Bollywood studios in India.
