Bridget Regan to play DC supervillain Poison Ivy in ‘Batwoman’ season three

The CW series Batwoman has found its Poison Ivy, Bridget Regan has finalised to do the role of iconic DC supervillain for the show’s third season.

According to the official character synopsis, Pamela Isley (Poison Ivy) is a former botany student at Gotham University, Isley is described as a passionate, brilliant scientist with a mind for changing the world for the better. Her plans changed, however, when Isley’s colleague experimented on her and injected her with various plant toxins, transforming the botany enthusiast into the infamous Batman villain Poison Ivy. With a formidable power coursing through her veins, Pamela used her powers to do what she thought was right, even if Batman and those closest to her disagreed with her dangerous methods.

Regan took to social media following the announcement to confirm her casting news.

Earlier Poison Ivy is played by the most notable actress Uma Thurman in 1997’s Batman and Robin, and Lake Bell, who is currently voicing the character in HBO Max‘s Harley Quinn.

The third season of Batwoman will premiere on The CW on 13 October 2021.

The new season will see British actress Wallis Day play the lead character, after both Ruby Rose and Javicia Leslie played the role in previous seasons.
