In the video post production field since the past 32 years, Avitel Universal Media’s relatively new venture Avitel Post Studioz is aggresively eyeing the Bollywood and TVC market. Based in Mumbai the studio is promoted by the young trio of Siddhatha, Rishi and Rishub Jain, siblings of Dr Pradeep Jain (of Jain Brothers fame).

In order to gear up for Bollywood the studio has gone about building its technology infrastructure and creative team. It has invested close to Rs 45 Crore in Systems, Infrastructure and Equipment alone including Lustre for DI, Spirit 4K Telecine, Arri Laser Recorder and close to a dozen online editing systems.

The VFX team headed by Supervisor Sandeep Kamal has also been ramped up and now comprises of 20 artists. DI is headed by Rishub Jain while operations are headed by Rishi Jain

Speaking to Animation ‘xpress, Avitel Post Studioz MD Siddhartha Jain commented,”Considering we started with just 2 Avids 3-4 years back, we have grown quite quickly with dozens of Avids and Smokes now. The Film industry’s faith in us has grown too. In terms of VFX and DI, we are currently working with film makers like Raj Kaushal, Madhur Bhandarkar, Anees Bazmee, Ajay Chandok etc for films like Corporate, Anthony Kaun Hai, Benaam and Iqraar”

The studio recently did some slick VFX and post work for Motorola & HPCL TVCs, as well as the recently released Tom Dick & Harry directed by Deepak Tijori.

The flick featured a sequence wherein Baddie Gulshan Grover had to roll and bounce the globe from head to toe. The globe was created in CG and involved camera tracking etc. Avitel also did the DI for the Himesh Reshammiya music video “Jhoom Jhoom” from the same film.

“In the long term we also intend to do International projects and talks are already on with prospective clients in Middle East and USA” concluded Jain.
