Anime series ‘Deiji Meets Girl’ gears up for a world premiere in August

Fantasia film festival announced the world premiere teaser of MBS, TBS animated series Deiji Meets Girl. The screening will take place on 25 August 2021 in Montreal, Quebec as a part of the 25th edition of Fantasia.

Directed by Ushio Tazawa, Deiji Meets Girl will have 90-second weekly episodes, which revolves around a first-year high school girl Maise Higa, who works as part timer at the front desk of her family hotel in Okinawa. She eventually meets a mysterious youth named Ichiro Suzuki, who came from Tokyo as a hotel guest.

Norifumi Okuno and Kaori Akatsu are designing the props. Miu Miyamoto is directing the art, and Kunio Tsujita is the color key artist. Yoshimasa Yamazaki is the 3D director. Mitsuyoshi Yamamoto is the compositing director of photography, and Kiyomi Yamada is editing. Ryousuke Naya is the sound director at Studio Mouse, and Hiroshi Nakamura is the music composer.

Deiji Meets Girl will premiere in October in the super animeism slot on Japan’s MBS/TBS network. Other films to be premiered at Fantasia film festival are King Knight, The deer King, The Little Vampire, Prisoners of The Ghostland, Cryptozoo, The Deep house, Hellbender, Fire craft, Woodlands dark and Days Bewitched, The Great Yokai War.
