HBO and Cinemax set to venture into PlayStation Vue

In an age where cable service providers are being replaced by live television through online streaming services, the already existing big players of the industry are walking that extra mile to leverage on the ongoing trend.

Sony for one has been trying to make amendments to provide replacements of cable networks and fill it up with online streaming services on their devices. The company’s online streaming, live TV service, PlayStation Vue will soon be hosting HBO and Cinemax. Each one of the networks would be available for $15, that is on top of whatever package of PlayStation Vue the consumers are subscribed to.

Also, HBO Now would soon be available on PS4 and PS3 and the list also includes the recently announced PlayStation Pro.

While, nothing has been revealed on when the services would be online, it is expected to launch ahead of of the 2 October premiere of the highly-anticipated new HBO series “Westworld.” It would be a good reason for cord-cutters to rejoice as they can enjoy live television on the go through their PS4 and PS3.
