When asked about the inspirations behind developing ‘Night Surfers, Rishbah says, “Some old classics like Mario & Sonic were games we always look up to. From the current genre, Rayman Origins & Limbo have inspired us to create beautifully designed games as well as enjoyable and simple game play.”

Created using 2.5D medium of animation, ‘Night Surfers’ was completed in 5 months time and software used are Unity 3D game engine with C# as the programming language.

“In 2.5D medium, we take simple 3D planes in a 3D software and put our design like characters and creatures on it and make them run and jump, it is a very simplistic approach and does not consume too much of production time and cost.”

The studio will soon be launching 3D Car Racing Game with heartbreaking action, followed by stunning skating game in our pipeline. Besides that, game development for one of the upcoming Hindi Movie is going on along with Smartphone apps related to slideshow and videos.

Concluding the conversation with us, Rishabh gives an insight into the challenges faced, “Our team with an experience of 2D medium was ready to take the plunge, but in the gaming industry all the rules and principles have to be re-thought and re-designed.Although 2.5D medium has a simplistic approach but it tends to get complex in certain areas. We faced numerous challenges such as how to portray the energy and frolic nature of Alex in a 2.5D plane, solving numerous bugs in the game play and of course making the whole gaming experience and experience to remember.”
