Commenting more on this competition, Akal Singh Sujlana, Marketing Manager,
Autodesk India, said, “The animation industry in India is on a growth path with overseas entertainment giants outsourcing work as well as our home grown animated movies such as Roadside Romeo and the recent Arjun hitting the big screen. Modellers and 3D artist in India have the talent to create world-class designs. The Armed and Dangerous competition lets them showcase this creativity using Autodesk Mudbox – especially by leveraging its new Gigatexel Engine and interop with 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage and Adobe Photoshop.”

Also, it’s not a must to create completely dreadful and violent characters. Participants can work on non-violent characters having smart concepts. A few examples for the same include a clown with a cream pie, a lawyer with a writ, or the dreaded dentist with a drill.

Highlighting more on the competition, Abhishek Chandra, Co-Founder, CGTANTRA, stated, “Instead of a contest, I think it’s a fantastic way and opportunity for someone to learn and polish Mudbox skills and even get rewarded for it, heavily! With Autodesk coming up with such partners & a special serial key for the software that runs till the deadline of the contest, very senior and experienced Judges, excellent modeling artists as contest moderators like Savio Fernandes and David Chung, the help & sharing of the peers on the forums, and the lineup of prizes like iPad, Wacom Tablets, AMD FirePro cards, I think it creates a perfect environment for any one to jump in the contest and come out as a winner – Winning a lot of Mudbox skills if not the prizes.”

Coming to the prizes bunch, this competition is all set to give the winners a very good treat. Mudbox Challenge 1st prize winners will be awarded with a Intuos5 Touch Medium from Wacom, AMD FirePro™ V4900 professional graphics card from AMD, Apple iPad (32GB with Wi-Fi) from Autodesk
