‘The Addams Family 2’ will be available on Blu-ray and DVD starting 18 January

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment announced that The Addams Family 2 is available to own for the first time on Blu-ray and DVD from 18 January 2022. The show is directed by Greg Tiernan (Sausage Party, Thomas & Friends) and Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Madagascar 3).

Hailed by critics as ‘creepier and kooiker than the first’ (Owen Gleiberman, Variety), MGM’s hilarious sequel brings the beloved macabre squad closer than ever before as they squeeze into the family RV and embark on a cross-country road trip. Packed with family-friendly laughs and spooky hijinks, The Addams Family 2 is filled with brand-new exclusive bonus features for all ages to enjoy including a road trip checklist and featurettes with cast and crew, taking audiences behind the scenes of the wonderfully weird world of the Addams family and the film’s messages of family, love and acceptance.

The eccentric and unconventional Addams family is back in the all-new full-length animated comedy. Morticia (Charlize Theron) and Gomez (Oscar Isaac) are distraught that their children are growing up, skipping family dinners, and totally consumed with ‘scream time’. To reclaim their bond, they decide to cram Wednesday (Chloë Grace Moretz), Pugsley (Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton), Uncle Fester (Nick Kroll) and the crew into their haunted camper and hit the road for one last miserable family vacation. What could possibly go wrong?

Based on characters by Charles Addams, the story is by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit with the screenplay by Hernandez, Samit, Ben Queen, and Susanna Fogel.

DreamWorks Animation’s holiday musical ‘Trolls Holiday in Harmony’ to air in November on NBC

Trolls Holiday in Harmony, a half-hour animated musical special from the DreamWorks Animation franchise, is set to premiere on Friday, 26 November (9 pm ET/PT), on NBC.

As the holidays near, Queen Poppy plans the first annual Trolls Kingdom Secret Holiday Gift Swap. Things take an unexpected turn, however, when she and Branch draw each other’s name. Meanwhile, Tiny Diamond comes down with a bad case of writers’ block trying to think of a special holiday rap for his dad.

Trolls Holiday in Harmony includes four original songs and features the voice talent of Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Kenan Thompson, Rachel Bloom, Ron Funches, Kunal Nayyar, Anderson Paak, Anthony Ramos, Ester Dean, Walt Dohrn, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Karan Soni.

The special is written and directed by Sean Charmatz and Tim Heitz with Gina Shay and Walt Dohrn serving as the executive producers.

Following its premiere on NBC, Trolls Holiday in Harmony, will be available to own on digital and DVD on 30 November, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. RCA Records will release a digital soundtrack for the special on 26 November to coincide with the special airing on NBC.

The franchise includes feature films 2016’s Trolls and 2020’s Trolls World Tour starring Kendrick and Timberlake.

Dr. Seuss’ ‘The Grinch’ coming soon to Blu-Ray and DVD

Families everywhere can ring in the New Year with Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch on digital download and via the digital movie app Movies Anywhere on 22 January 2019 and on 4K Ultra HD, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand on 5 February 2019.

From Illumination and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, the film, based on Dr. Seuss’ beloved tale about a cynical grouch who goes on a mission to steal Christmas from others only to feel his own heart grow three sizes larger through unexpected friendships, is one the whole family can watch and enjoy.

The new home entertainment edition contains more than 60 minutes of bonus content, including three mini-movies: Dog Days of Winter, starring the Grinch and his heroically loyal dog Max; and Yellow is the New Black and Santa’s Little Helpers, both starring the lovable Minions. It also includes stunning featurettes, a how-to-draw tutorial and much more.

Narrated by Grammy Award-winner and Oscar-nominee Pharrell Williams, Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch stars Academy Award-nominee Benedict Cumberbatch as the infamous Grinch, who lives a solitary life inside a cave on Mt. Crumpit with only his loyal dog, Max, for company. The incredible voice cast includes Rashida Jones as Donna Who, Kenan Thompson as Bricklebaum, Cameron Seely as Cindy-Lou Who, and featuring legendary actress Angela Lansbury as the mayor of Whoville.
