Real Image Technologies has roped in Amit Naik as its new Softimage / XSI domain expert. Naik takes over this post from Siddharth Bolurker.
Amit who is very popular in Indian CG production circles, was the software expert at Rahul Commerce for a long stint of nearly five years before he joined RIMT in Mid August.
Speaking to Animation Xpress.com, Amit shared, “I am very happy to be part of Real Image family and looking forward to give it my best. My primary role at RIMT would be that of a Domain Expert for Softimage|XSI for India, looking after the techno commercial aspect of the same.”
Sharing his perspective of Indian animation, Amit shared, “As we all know its happening, from what I have seen during my stint at RC and rise of the Animation Industry as such during that period is phenomenal. I see animation houses and post production studios all over the country doing work of highest quality possible for local and international market. While overseas offshore work does account for major chunk of animation work done in India, I think it has in fact given the industry the confidence of developing its own IP and setting new standards”
“Gaming is one segment which is waiting to explode. I have been fortunate enough to interact on day to day basis with people in the Animation and VFX industry and the passion and drive I see in them is amazing. I think its time for the Indian Animation Industry to say “We are here and we are here to stay” he concluded.
