Warcraft trailer to land this November; new posters arrive

WarcraftDuncan Jones showcased his ambitious project the game inspired movie at Comic Con for the third consecutive year and this time he had something concrete to show. Announced in 2006, the movie has seen various changes in both storyline and people overlooking the project. Blizzard along with Legendary Pictures is trying to get what it feels will do justice to both Warcraft game and the fans.

The film follows the origin story of the orcs and the humans capturing each side’s perspective during the war between them. The war between Alliance and Hordes will take place during the First War in the game universe and will feature Sir Anduin Lothar who’ll lead the Alliance and Durotan as the leader of Horde.

The film is majorly shot on green screen sets with the VFX work done by George Lucas’s company Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) who have previously worked on The Star Wars, Indiana Jones and recent ones like Avengers: Age of Ultron and Jurassic World. The company is said to have worked on over 1,000 shots for the movie. Horde community of orcs is all done on the CG with the orc cast consisting of actors like Toby Kebbell (Durotan), Rob Kazinsky (Origim Doomhammer) , Paula Patton (Garona) among others. The charge of Alliance is in the hands of Travis Fimmel (Anduin Lothar), Dominic Cooper (Llane Wrynn) and Ben Foster (Magus Medivh).

Comic Con just got the taste of the Warcraft movie with a trailer release and the world will get a look at it in the month of November after much delay in its release date. The movie was first to be released in the year 2009 but was pushed to 2011 only to be pushed to 15 December 2015 which happens to be the day when Star Wars franchise revives with The Star Wars: Force Awakens. This led to more delay in the release of the movie which now will only hit theatres on 10 June 2016.

To promote and have audience get to experience what it feels to be inside Azeroth, Legendary’s interactive department developed a VR environment where one can get a glimpse of Azeroth’s skies from eagle’s back as you can move your head to look around. This was first develop with Oculus and later was shown in Comic Con with Google Cardboard. The video recently landed on YouTube where one can get a 360 degree look with a cursor on the top of the video player.
