The Bristol based animation studio, Aardman that recently released its brilliantly produced stop-motion clay animation movie, Shaun The Sheep Movie has acquired majority shares in renowned New York based Animation company Nathan Love, bringing together two of the world’s most exciting animation studios.

Aardman and Nathan Love, a match made in heaven – as they are claiming – has surely got us excited with both these animation studios having showcased some of their great works in the recent past. Founded by Joe Burrascano in 2007, Nathan Love is one of the famous animation production houses in New York. On partnering with Aardman, founder of Nathan Love, Joe Burrascano said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled about joining the Aardman family. The partnership feels very natural, our values and philosophy are closely aligned, and the potential for what we can do together is incredibly inspiring.  We hope agencies and clients will feel the same way, and that in working with us they will have access to a unique wealth of talent and storytelling experience.”

While Nathan Love is comparatively new in the industry, it has managed to build a stronghold in the USA advertising market. Aardman on the other hand has been in this industry since 1972 and has been founded by Peter Lord and David Sproxton in England with a dream to produce animated motion picture. Over the years it has earned a valuable position when it comes to claymation feature films. Over the years, we have seen some of their great works like Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Morph. Recently we saw venturing into making games for their clients and their own IP, Shaun The Sheep. They create animated feature films, television series, advertising and digital entertainment for audiences around the world.

Speaking of the decision to create a New York based company, co-founder and executive chairman of Aardman, David Sproxton said: “We’re so excited to welcome Nathan Love to the Aardman family. Teaming up with an existing company gives us the opportunity to hit the ground running and a solid base from which to grow. This venture is not about sending work back to the UK. It’s about building a new business in New York for American agencies and we feel we can do this more effectively by being there. Aardman’s vision is to be the most inspirational animation company in the World, in the eyes of its talent, partners and audiences, for generations to come. Aardman Nathan Love will allow us to expand this vision in the US.”
