Year 2014, saw a boom in 2D animation projects in UK, resulting in a continuously high demand for Toon Boom software that caters to the professional and the enthusiast animators and storyboard artists. A request to build 2D production pipelines are is in demand Toon Boom Harmony and Toon Boom Storyboard Pro is being implemented in numerous high profile studios throughout the UK.
Most recently award-winning animation studio Brown Bag Films announced the launch of a studio in Manchester. “Toon Boom continues to support Brown Bag Films’ integration of a long form 2D animation pipeline using Toon Boom Harmony and Storyboard Pro. We have always supported and will continue to support their animators and technical team with every resource we can offer. The quality of work the Brown Bag studio produces is outstanding. We have no doubt the new Manchester studio will continue to produce the calibre of work which has already made their team an award winning studio,” said Toon Boom, VP of Sales François Lalonde in a statement.
At the start of 2015, the new studio will initially employ 40 staff members, and will drive the studio’s production and creative capability to new levels. Executive producer, UK for Brown Bag Films Robert Chandler added: “The new studio will be producing and developing material for children of all ages, including preschool and older age groups. We’ll be equipped to handle all kinds of 2D animation, from cut-out to traditional.”
