‘The Gaming Fest’ witnessed gamers across the country battle against one another

This time, Milan16 experienced an extraordinary enthusiasm from the gamers for The Gaming Fest. With a huge number of anxious gamers from all over the country on the spot, the gaming fest was an exceptional hit.

The event took place from 4 to 6 March in SRM University and witnessed a huge number of registrations for the single player games like NFS MW and FIFA-15, and multiplayer games like COD, CS 1.6 and DOTA for both pro and amateur levels. The most enthralling part of this event was that it succeeded at National Level and the fact that it had a prize money of worth Rs 6 lakhs added to the charm of TGF’16.

The setup for this gaming fiesta was far above than those of the other fests. It satiated almost all the “gamer-needs”, and defied the very commonly seen slider keyboards and placed the mouse and keyboard to the same level for gamer-friendliness.

Sponsors like Asus, Nvidia exhibited their products where Nvidia showcased a high end system worth Rs 3,00,000 (with a Titan X graphics card and Corsair’s 16GB RAM) in the experience zone to keep the participants involved. This attracted a huge crowd. Whereas ASUS organised a small competition among the gamers and provided them with goodies. Also, the next generation VR gaming setup, Oculus Rift was showcased by “Playerz”. Spectre conducted the extraordinary Laser Tag to hold everyone at the edge of their seats.

The event was co sponsored by Spectre, associate partner Corsair and Nvidia, powered by ASUS, banking partner Karur Vysya Bank, experience zone partner Playerz, online media partner Animation Xpress, media partners Chennai live and The Hitwada, and was also sponsored by World Cricket Championship.
