Technicolor has finalised several agreements with European broadcasters to deliver its CG-animated series The Deep (26 x half-hours in production). New partners include Ketnet (Belgium), NRK (Norway), SVT (Sweden) and YLE (Finland). Broadcasters already on board include The Seven Network and ABC3 (Australia) and Super RTL (Germany).
Co-produced by Canada’s Nerd Corps Entertainment (a DHX Media company) and Australia’s A Stark Production, The Deep is aimed at kids 6-12 and is based on the best-selling graphic novel series by Tom Taylor, illustrated by James Brouwer. The series follows a family of underwater explorers who lives aboard a state-of-the-art submarine and explore uncharted areas of the earth’s oceans to unravel the mysteries of the deep.
