Suicide Squad’s mystical ‘Enchantress’ look revealed

Few months back, 2016’s highly anticipated movie Suicide Squad wrapped its filming and now promotional photos have started arriving revolving around the comic based movie. Empire magazine brings us the look of the new Clown Prince of Crime, Joker along with the powerful yet mentally unstable witch, Enchantress.

Jared Leto who will be seen as Joker in Suicide Squad which was once played by Heath Ledger, looks menacing as the supervillain on the cover of the latest Empire magazine, sporting a purple snakeskin coat, Arkham Asylum sweatpants, a walking cane and plenty of tattoos. In the magazine cover, we can see Leto carrying an electrical cable in his hands with crackling electricity flowing.

Along with revealing Joker’s cover, Leto’s Suicide Squad castmate Cara Delevingne’s cover has also been revealed.

Suicide squadDelevingne’s looks absolutely unrecognisable in her tribal dark and gritty getup, being surrounded by skulls and a magical blue aura. Adding a hint of comic-book-y abstraction, Enchantress appears to be on the more abstract end and will be seen transformed into a dark yet alluring DC antihero.

Giving a better understanding of the character, Delevingne shares with Empire, “She’s an ancient sorceress. A feral being. She’s been trapped for so long and now she’s finally let out.” The hapless human who Enchantress takes over is June Moone, who finds more than she bargained for while exploring a creepy cave. “June is an adventure-seeker who’s always wanted some excitement. And she gets what she wished for, in an terrible way.”

Directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad is expected for release on 5 August, 2016.
