‘Rick & Morty’ season five to have an hour-long finale

Adult Swim has announced that Rick and Morty season five will be ending with an hour-long finale this September.

The Rick and Morty season five finale will be broadcast on Sunday, 5 September 2021, at 11:00 pm EST with almost a month long break between episode eight, which aired on 8 August. Fans will have to wait patiently to watch the first ever hour long finale! Producers released a teaser recently from the season finale to treat fans.

The video clip shows Rick spinning the eclectic “wheel of things better than Morty” after Morty pushes Rick to replace him. The wheel has options like Garbage Goober, Bag of Meat, Half a Paul Giamatti, Gene with Donkey Brains, Sentient S#!t, Kyle 2.0, Two Crows and Jerry (Spin Again). Apparently, according to the wheel, two crows will replace Morty. What’s going to happen? We will have to wait and watch!

The American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network’s nighttime programming block, Adult Swim follows the misadventures of cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his good-hearted but fretful grandson Morty Smith, who split their time between domestic life and interdimensional adventures.

The first episode of the latest season, Mort Dinner Rick Andre, made its debut on 20 June alongside Rick and Morty Day, a 24-hour celebration of the animated sci-fi sitcom that celebrated the behind-the-scenes footage, lookaheads for the season, and “special surprises” across TV, digital, and social media platforms.

Over the years, Rick and Morty have enjoyed a rollercoaster ride through absurdity, fun and bizarre moments. Make sure to catch the season finale on 5 September!
