Purple Turtle joins hands with Turtle Foundation for a novel cause

Aadarsh Pvt. Ltd. in association with Turtle Foundation is all set to use Purple Turtle, the brand in order to raise awareness about turtles amongst children.

Manish Rajoria, director of Aadarsh Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are delighted to be part of Turtle Foundation’s mission to save the marine turtles. All royalties earned will be utilised towards conservation of endangered Sea Turtles. We are starting with one book and more titles will soon follow.”

Originally introduced in 2012, Purple Turtle books have been published in USA, UK, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Indonesia, Sir Lanka, Malaysia, China, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and in six regional languages in India with over, 1 million copies published to date. Purple Turtle started as a children’s book imprint of Aadarsh Pvt. Ltd. which and was transformed to a gender neutral pre-school character for global audience. More than 150 titles have been published till date.

An animated series of Purple Turtle (78 x 7 min, 3D HD) is in development, and features the world’s cutest turtle, a little guy who stands out of the normal crowd because he tends to think differently than others, or better yet, a bit ‘out of his shell’.

Turtle Foundation is an internationally recognized, non-profit foundation. Their vision is to create a future where marine turtles are protected and their habitats are healthy and safe from extinction and destruction.

“Sea turtles are endangered all over the world for a lot of reasons: hunting, egg-poaching and pollution of the oceans have driven these gentle reptiles to the edge of extinction. To use the popular Purple Turtle in order to raise awareness for the cause of its ‘wild cousins’ is a very good approach. Kids who learned about the trouble of sea turtles at an early age will hopefully contribute to their conservation as adults,” said Turtle Foundation’s representative.
