PGConnects kick-offs in London from 13 Jan; Reliance Games’ Manish Agarwal to address keynote

Pocket Gamer (PG) Connects is the conference series that is aimed at the mobile gaming industry. Curated by the teams responsible for the world’s leading mobile gaming publications, it’s the event for anyone wanting to meet, hear, and learn from the leading figures from every corner of the mobile games industry. Apart from London, the conference is also taking place in Helsinki, Bengaluru and San Francisco.

Reliance Entertainment – Digital, CEO, Manish Agarwal is one of the speakers at the conference and has two sessions where he will be sharing his insights.

One of the sessions has him speaking on the Indian gaming market and how 2015 could be the year the game developers from this region emerge as winners. The session will also have other industry experts as speakers and will explore the strategies, the latest trends and tips for publishing games on the global scale. Also the session will explore the opportunities and challenges facing developers in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

The second session will see Manish sharing his insights on how one can rely on a branded IP and also at the same time build your individual IP and strike a balance between the two and make the most of both the world. Manish with his experience with working with big Hollywood brands like Real Steel, Pacific Rim and Hunger Games among many others will also be mentioning how the Real Steel is still being played with their very big IP.

Apart from these activities Manish will also look at tapping into talents from UK and will look forward to understanding the best practices from these studios, which can be incorporated in India to develop world class games.

Reliance Games is partnering with PocketGamer to bring PGConnects to India (Bengaluru) in April and getting the industry veterans to conduct a few sessions, where the speakers will be providing insightful and inspirational advice for creating the next hit in this enormous industry.

In the lead up to that Reliance has also organised Game Hack – a pan India game development competition – across six cities where indie game developers will get a chance to pitch their games and also share a common stage with industry biggies. The top 20 games from these cities will travel to Bengaluru for The Very Big Indie Pitch with the winner taking home a Rs 1,000,000 booty.
