Nintendo introduces new ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ update 1.3 patch notes

Nintendo has now rolled out the first-wave summer update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons alongside the version 1.3.0. Here are the Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 1.3 patch notes, released July 3rd, 2020, with credit to Nintendo and copied verbatim from the official Nintendo support site.

General updates

  • Players can now wear a wet suit and go diving in the ocean.
  • Players can now catch sea creatures while diving, which they can then donate to the museum.
  • Players can now encounter new visiting characters somewhere on the island.
  • Nook Miles can now be traded for new items.
  • New seasonal items have been added to the Nook Shopping catalog, available for limited time only.

Fixed the following issues

  • The names of several fish have been fixed in Korean and Simplified Chinese.
  • Addressed issues to further ensure an enjoyable gaming experience.

Note – new visitor Pascal will appear on your island from the introduction of this update.

Also, if previous updates are to go by, if you have already started playing on the day before installing the update, they might not appear until tomorrow. In short – always try and download new updates before logging on! Another update will follow this one early on in August.
